My friend didn't get the invite#

An email invite (Invite to WingHUD): ask them to check Spam and Promotions - first emails from a new sender often land there - for a message with your display name in the sender. They need to sign up with that exact address for your friend request to be waiting. If you already invited the same address in the last 30 days, a second email isn't sent. A party invite in the app: they need to be online; the pop-up fades after a few seconds, but the invite stays on your row in their Friends widget for 10 minutes. A link: it works for 7 days and only while the party exists; a full party (six players) can't take more. If nothing works, send them the party code from the party room and have them paste it into + Add friend.

My friends can't hear me, or I can't hear them#

Check the party mic bar first: "Voice on" means you're connected. "Voice starts when a friend joins" means you're the only one in the party right now, and "Voice paused" means the party went quiet - press Resume, your push-to-talk key, or just talk. If your mic button is dimmed with a slash, you muted yourself; "The party leader muted your mic" means the leader did. In Push to talk you're only heard while holding Ctrl+K (default — change it in Settings → Hotkeys); in Open mic, a high Open mic threshold can keep quiet speech out - try 0. If you hear nobody, check the speaker button (Mute party voice for me) and Settings → Friends & party → Party output device. A member you muted with Mute for me, or a friend you muted in Friends, stays silent until you unmute them. Also check that Windows lets WingHUD use your microphone (Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone).

Voice is stuck on "Connecting voice…"#

Party voice connects separately from the rest of WingHUD, so text can work while voice doesn't. "Voice failed · text still works" with a Retry button means the connection dropped - press Retry. If it never connects, an antivirus or security suite with its own firewall is usually blocking WingHUD's outgoing voice connection: allow WingHUD in it (Troubleshooting → Connection and startup lists the steps for common suites). No ports need to be forwarded, and nothing needs to be opened on your router.

The wingman answered when a friend said "Hey Wingman"#

Through speakers, your microphone can pick up a friend saying "Hey Wingman". WingHUD ignores the wake word while a party member is talking, but if it still happens, use headphones, or turn off Hey Wingman Wake on the mic widget while you're in a party and ask with the mic hotkey instead.

Party pictures won't send#

"The picture didn't send" means the upload failed - check your connection and press Send again; your message stays in the box. A message holds up to 10 screenshots or area captures, or one Last Scene clip on its own. "That's a lot of pictures at once" means you hit the short-term limit; wait a few minutes. The Last Scene button is dimmed while Last Scene is off - turn it on in Settings → Widgets → Last Scene.

Friends & party doesn't appear#

Friends & party needs WingHUD 4.0 or later and a connection to WingHUD's servers; update WingHUD when it asks. If the Party chip and the friends icon are missing from the game bar after updating, close WingHUD from the tray and open it again. Security software blocking WingHUD can also hide it - see Troubleshooting → Connection and startup.
