Terms of Service

WingHUD is currently an early-stage open beta. It is free, open to anyone who registers, and provided "as-is" while we're actively developing and testing it. Please read the sections below on beta status and disclaimers carefully.
1. Who you're agreeing with
WingHUD is currently operated by Guy Almog as an individual developer ("we", "us"), pre-incorporation - there is not yet a registered company behind the product while it's in beta. Contact: guy@winghud.com.
2. What the beta is
WingHUD is a Windows overlay application that lets you ask an AI assistant for help while playing PC games, via text, screenshot, or voice. The open beta is a test phase that anyone can join, intended to gather real usage data and feedback ahead of a possible future paid release.
- Anyone aged 16 or over can register; no invitation is needed. We may limit new registrations at any time, for example by making signups invite-only again.
- Access is open to players worldwide; our servers are in the EU, so response times may vary by region.
- The beta is completely free - no payment is required or accepted at this stage.
- Usage during the beta is free but subject to the fair-use limits in section 5.
3. The beta can change or end at any time
Because this is an early beta, we may suspend, limit, or permanently end the open beta - in whole or in part, for you individually or for everyone - at any time, without prior notice. Features may be added, changed, or removed without notice. This includes the widgets and game integrations available, and the third-party AI, speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers behind WingHUD — we may switch or add providers as quality, cost or availability require. The current providers are always listed in our Privacy Policy, which we update when they change. We'll try to give notice where practical, but we can't guarantee it, and continued availability of any feature or of the beta itself is never guaranteed.
If we end the beta, we will provide a reasonable way for you to request deletion of any data we still hold about you (see our Privacy Policy).
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use WingHUD.
- You register inside the app with an email address you can confirm - with a password, or by signing in with Google.
- One account per person. Don't create extra accounts to get around usage limits or a suspension.
- If you invite a friend from the app (Friends > Invite to WingHUD), only invite people who know you and would want the email; invites go out in your display name.
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account inside the app.
- We may disable or suspend an account that violates these terms, is used in a way that risks the stability, cost, or security of the service, or that we reasonably suspect is being used to gain an unfair advantage in a game, to cheat, or to exploit WingHUD or its providers. We may suspend first and review afterwards; where practical we'll tell you why.
5. Acceptable use & fair use during the beta
WingHUD is free during the open beta. Every answer, screenshot and voice reply costs us real money with our AI providers, so use is subject to reasonable, per-account limits (for example a daily allowance and a short-term rate limit). The limits are generous for normal play, may change as the beta evolves, and the app tells you when you reach one and when it resets.
To keep the beta fair and affordable for everyone, you agree not to:
- Access WingHUD's services with anything other than the official app - no scripts, bots, modified clients, or automated requests.
- Use WingHUD to automate gameplay, inputs, or actions inside a game - WingHUD is an information/advice assistant, not a gameplay automation or cheating tool, and using it in a way that violates a game's own terms of service or anti-cheat rules is your responsibility, not ours.
- Use WingHUD in any way that breaks a game's rules or gives you an advantage the game prohibits — WingHUD is for information and advice, not for circumventing game rules.
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to other users' data, our backend systems, or API keys/credentials.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or its access tokens, or use several accounts to get around per-account limits.
- Deliberately generate volume that isn't tied to your own play, attempt to circumvent limits, or probe or attack our systems.
- Use WingHUD for any unlawful purpose.
If use looks abusive or automated, we may at our reasonable discretion throttle, suspend or close the account, and where practical we'll tell you why. Limits exist to control cost and keep things fair; they are not a feature promise, and normal use should never hit them. If you do, tell us - that's exactly the feedback the beta is for.
Friends & party. When you add friends or join a party, treat other players with respect. You agree not to harass, threaten or bully anyone; post hate speech, sexual content or spam; choose a display name that is offensive or pretends to be someone else; or use a party to organize cheating. You're responsible for what you say and share in a party, including invite links you post in public places. You can block or report any player from Friends or the party room. Party voice is never recorded, so a report is reviewed from the party's chat and what the reporter tells us. We may end a party, remove a player from it, or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and where practical we'll tell you why. A wingman answer asked in a party is shown to everyone in it and counts toward the allowance of the player who asked.
6. Games, anti-cheat and your game accounts
WingHUD is not cheating software. It does not read game memory, inject into game processes, or automate any input; it takes a screenshot when you ask and uses official game data feeds where available. That said, game publishers and anti-cheat vendors decide their own rules and enforce them as they see fit, and we have no control over those decisions. We cannot guarantee that using WingHUD — or any third-party software — will never lead to action against your game account. It's your responsibility to check the rules of the games you play, and you use WingHUD at your own risk in that respect.
7. AI-generated content
WingHUD's responses are generated by third-party AI models (see our Privacy Policy for which providers). AI responses can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Don't rely on WingHUD for anything where being wrong has real consequences outside the game.
8. Intellectual property
WingHUD's software, branding, and website content are owned by us. Your own messages and content you send to WingHUD remain yours - we use them only as described in our Privacy Policy to provide and improve the service.
9. No warranty
The beta is provided "as-is" and "as-available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of - or inability to use - WingHUD, including but not limited to in-game outcomes, lost progress, or account actions taken by a third-party game or platform in response to your use of WingHUD.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves, especially when moving from the free open beta into any future paid phase. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate notify you by email of material changes.
12. Governing law
