Install and sign in
What you need#
WingHUD runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). There is no Mac or Linux version. It needs an internet connection, a microphone if you want to talk to it, and a WingHUD account, which you create inside the app. WingHUD is free during the open beta. It does not need a specific graphics card — WingHUD is an overlay, not a game mod, and it does not touch the game's files or memory.
Installing#
Install WingHUD from the Microsoft Store (the link is on winghud.com). If the Store isn't an option, winghud.com also has a direct download (.exe) — Windows SmartScreen may warn about it, the Store install doesn't. The installer is signed, installs for the current user, and adds a Start menu shortcut. When it finishes, WingHUD opens the Hub, which is where you sign in. You can also choose to start WingHUD with Windows during first-run setup — it then starts quietly in the tray.
Signing in#
Sign in with your email and password, or with Google. If you don't have an account yet, create one first (see below). Once you are signed in, WingHUD keeps you signed in on that PC until you sign out from the Hub or from Settings → Account & Usage.
Accepting the terms#
After signing in, the Hub shows the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and asks you to accept them before the overlay opens. You will be asked again only when they change. Declining closes WingHUD — you can start it again and accept whenever you like. Links to the current versions are always in Settings → About.
Creating an account and resetting a password#
"Create account" on the sign-in page sets up a new account with your email and a password, or use "Continue with Google". New email accounts get a confirmation email first — open the link in it, then sign in. If a friend emailed you an invite from inside WingHUD, sign up with that same address and their friend request is waiting for you. "Forgot password" sends a reset link to your address — check spam if it does not arrive within a few minutes. If you signed up with Google there is no password to reset; sign in with Google again.
