Watch Me Play

Applies to WingHUD 5.0 · Updated October 24, 2026 · English only

Mode#

Settings → Watch Me Play → Mode. Quiet keeps notes and speaks only when you ask; it uses the fewest minutes and is the mode in this release. Coach would call out deaths, timers and things you asked about, a few spoken lines per 10 minutes; it's shown dimmed as coming soon and can't be chosen yet.

Frame detail#

Settings → Watch Me Play → Frame detail. Economy sends fewer, smaller frames and can miss small text; a minute of watching uses half a minute. Auto picks detail and pace for the game and is the one we recommend; a minute uses a minute. Sharp reads small HUD text and looks more often; a minute uses two minutes. You can also pick it on the panel before you start. The card at the top of the page shows the percentage of this week's watch minutes you've used and when they reset; hover it for the minutes. You get an hour a week during the beta (the week resets Monday at midnight, your time), and two hours in your first week of Watch Me Play (the 7 days from the first time you watch).

Callouts#

Settings → Watch Me Play → "Callouts (Coach mode)" sets, per game, what Coach would speak up about: deaths and wipes, objectives and timers, low resources, and things you asked it to watch for, plus at most how many per 10 minutes. "General" covers every game without its own settings. Coach mode is coming soon, so the card is dimmed for now; callouts only happen in Coach mode.

Behaviour#

Settings → Watch Me Play → Behaviour. "Pause when the game isn't in front" (on by default) pauses the watch while another program is in front and resumes when the game is back; paused time uses no minutes (each resume counts at most about 17 seconds of watching). With Whole screen on Windows 11, turning it off keeps the watch reading the monitor the game is on while another program is in front. "Stop after" ends a session after 10, 15, 20, 30 or 45 minutes, or 1 hour (the default). The hotkey row sets the key that starts and stops a watch.

Games#

Settings → Watch Me Play → "Games" lists your installed games plus the one on screen, each with a switch that's on by default; switch a game off to keep Watch Me Play from starting on it. It applies from the next start; a watch that's already running isn't stopped. Click Manage to open the list. Games whose rules forbid tools that read the screen show greyed, marked "not allowed by the game's rules", with no switch. The not-allowed list may be incomplete, so check a game's rules yourself. Game window or Whole screen is chosen per game on the panel and the start card, not here. On Windows 11, Game window reads only the game window. On Windows 10, or in a game that doesn't allow window capture, it reads the game's area of the screen, so anything on top of it, WingHUD's windows included, can be in a frame. Whole screen reads the whole monitor the game is on, so anything shown there can be in a frame, including WingHUD's own windows and other programs' windows or notifications.
