5.0.0 - Watch Me Play (alpha)
New
Watch Me Play (alpha): turn it on and your wingman sees your game. It looks at your game about once a second, keeps short notes, and answers from them when you ask - about what's on screen or what just happened, without describing it. It runs in Quiet mode: it answers when you ask and never talks on its own. A watch lasts up to an hour, and Coach mode (spoken callouts) is coming soon. How Watch Me Play works.
Ask about the moment: a question you ask while watching carries the last few frames, or a fresh one when you ask what's on screen.
Mark a moment: while Watch Me Play is watching or paused, the Last Scene hotkey marks the moment instead of capturing it (set the hotkey in Settings → Hotkeys). Ask within five minutes and your question carries the frames around it; after that, the answer comes from the notes.
In Dota 2, Watch Me Play reads the draft and your role as it happens, and your wingman already knows your hero pool - just ask what to pick.
Watch minutes: an hour of watching a week during the beta, and two hours in your first week of Watch Me Play, shown as a percentage used on the Watch Me Play widget and as Video next to Chat and Voice. Paused time doesn't count.
Settings → Watch Me Play: frame detail, pausing when the game isn't in front, when to stop, a hotkey, and a switch to turn it off for any game.
When a watch ends, a short session review appears in the chat.
Ask WingHUD's chat what to pick during the Dota 2 draft: it answers from the same matchup data, hero pool and record as the Dota 2 widget.
Tips in a new chat can be hidden for good with "Don't show this again".
When using the mic turns read-aloud on, a note in the chat says why, with a link to the setting.
Fixed
The in-game chat stays where you put it when you fold or unfold it, and the folded bar has a chat button to open it.
When your connection drops in the middle of a question, WingHUD tells you within about half a minute instead of waiting almost three.
The Dota 2 widget and the chat always agree on which hero to lock, and with "Only suggest heroes from my pool" on, it's always one of yours.
During the Dota 2 draft, WingHUD knows the hero you locked even before the game reports it.
Before 30 minutes into a Dota 2 match, WingHUD no longer brings up buyback after a death.
PC Hardware Advisor scans answer in your chosen language.
Questions you ask with the mic while the overlay is closed are handled as spoken questions, so a misheard word is less likely to throw off the answer.
Dota 2 live match data keeps working when WingHUD had to update its game settings file while Dota 2 was open.
Security & privacy
Watch Me Play only runs while you turn it on. By default it pauses when the game isn't in front, a thin frame around the screen and a red dot show whenever it's watching, and it stays off while you're in a party.
Watch Me Play's frames go through our servers to our AI provider to write short notes, and no frames are stored on our servers. The last five minutes stay in memory on your PC, never on disk, until the watch stops, the game changes or WingHUD exits.
WingHUD now tells you when it isn't available in your country, instead of failing silently.
Updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for Watch Me Play.
4.3.1 - In-game chat, links and pasted images
New
The chat header now shows which mode you’re in, with Over the game right next to it - the small chat that stays over your game when you close the overlay. Mini chat is now called the in-game chat, and it has its own show/hide hotkey in Settings → Hotkeys. A one-time tip points it out the first time you play.
Paste a link in the chat and WingHUD reads the page before answering - guides, patch notes, your Dota 2 profile. When a site can’t be read, it says so and offers to look the topic up.
Paste an image into the chat with Ctrl+V, and right-click any image in the chat to copy it.
Ctrl+Enter or Shift+Enter starts a new line in the chat box.
Tables in answers now show as tables, and read aloud row by row.
Fixed
The Dota 2 widget is greyed out outside the draft and matches, and clicking it there tells you when it works.
Giving a widget a hotkey that another action used now tells you which one lost it.
Dota 2’s Demo Hero mode and practice lobbies get practice advice, and no longer end up in your profile as your main hero.
A Friends widget you moved out of the widget list now hides with the overlay.
The YouTube widget opens on YouTube Gaming when you’re signed out, instead of an empty page.
Security & privacy
The YouTube widget no longer reads video transcripts; WingHUD uses the video’s title and channel and tells you when it can’t see what’s said.
A game profile you paste is remembered only when WingHUD can confirm it’s yours, with Undo right under the answer; Settings → Games lists what’s kept.
4.3.0 - Answer depth and look-ups
New
Normal, Deep or Thorough under the chat box: pick how much work goes into each answer. Deep uses a stronger model on every question; Thorough checks more sources before it answers, for a fuller answer after a longer wait. Normal makes your allowance last longest. Also in Settings → Chat and in Mini chat.
When a question needs more than a quick search, WingHUD can offer to look it up properly - several sources, about half a minute - and answers with where it found it.
A game question asked in General chat offers a button to continue in that game’s own chat (or to add the game first), and switching answers it again there, with that chat’s guide and your own stats.
Write to WingHUD in another of its languages and it offers to switch - replies only, or everything.
Voice Friendly Replies is now Short answers: short, to-the-point answers even when you’re only reading. Ask for the full version any time.
Settings, the Hub and Friends & party are now translated into all of WingHUD’s languages.
The Dota 2 tip shows the 2-minute tutorial’s preview - click it to watch without leaving the game.
Tips in the chat can be closed with the ✕.
WoW: ask about your Great Vault, gear, talents or quests by voice and WingHUD uses your synced character data in that same answer.
Fixed
With the speaker on, typed questions get short answers made for listening, like spoken ones.
Answers read aloud no longer read out web links.
Asking WingHUD to look at your last screenshot again sends it again, even a while later.
Clicking a game in the chat bar during a conversation opens that game’s chat (Back takes you to where you were), and the chat bar always shows the chat you’re in.
Ready for WoW Forever’s launch: WingHUD recognises the release client, not just the beta.
Security & privacy
Look-ups share only the facts they find with other players’ answers - never your chat or who asked. The question behind a look-up offer is deleted after 30 days, like other chat text.
4.2.1 - Standard voices and Type to wingman
New
Standard voices: a second set of voices in Settings → Voice & audio that uses about 20 % less of your daily voice allowance. New installs start with them; if you already use WingHUD you keep your current voices, now called Studio, and can switch any time.
Read-aloud lasts longer: about 28 % more spoken replies before the daily voice limit.
Type to wingman: press Ctrl+Enter to start typing to your wingman - in Mini chat, or in the chat when the overlay is open. In games that keep hold of the mouse, it’s how you reach Mini chat. Change the key in Settings → Hotkeys.
When WingHUD thinks you’re playing a game it didn’t detect, it asks under the answer - say “Yes, that’s right” and it detects that game for you from then on.
Mini chat: ⤢ next to the ✕ opens the full overlay, and an empty chat shows its three looks. Asking how to open the full chat now gets you the right key.
Fixed
Open Mic hears “Hey Wingman” and your question said in one breath again - no need to pause after the wake word.
The overlay can be used with the mouse over games that lock the cursor (some shooters and SDL games), and closing it puts you straight back in the game.
The mic no longer keeps spinning after you stop a reply before it starts speaking.
Your settings are kept even if an older version of WingHUD opens them.
Dota 2: WingHUD knows your TP scroll has its own slot, keeps every hero it has seen in the match (not just the ones alive at a widget click), and remembers the role you said before the match started.
Security & privacy
Updated Privacy Policy for the Standard voices and for confirming games WingHUD didn’t detect - WingHUD asks you to agree once after updating.
4.2.0 - Open beta and Mini chat
New
WingHUD is now in open beta: anyone can install it from the Microsoft Store and create an account - no invite needed.
Mini chat: when you close the overlay, a small chat stays on your game with the latest answers, the mic, a speaker button and a text box. Drag and resize it; it remembers its place on each screen. The switch in the chat header turns it off.
Fold Mini chat to one row - the arrow, a double-click on its grip, or a hotkey you can set in Settings → Hotkeys. Answers you didn’t hear show as a count on the arrow; make the row narrow enough and it shrinks to just the mic and the speaker.
A speaker button next to the mic: Read aloud reads every answer to you, typed ones too; Text only shows them as text. It turns on when you use the mic and stays on until you switch it off, and becomes Stop while an answer is being read.
Talking or typing over an answer stops the reading at once - Hey Wingman too.
Set your hero pool on the Dota 2 widget: pick the heroes you actually play in each role, and draft suggestions come from them - best fit for the draft first. The Personalize switch moved there too.
The Dota 2 tutorial links now open a shorter 2-minute video.
Changed
“Read replies aloud after a screenshot” (Settings → Chat) is gone - the speaker button covers it.
Fixed
Hey Wingman works again with louder microphones: the mic boost now adjusts itself instead of distorting your voice.
With voice replies used up, the mic is no longer marked: asking by voice keeps working, answers come as text, and the “voice allowance used up” line also shows in the chat.
Creating an account with a mistyped email now says so clearly, in your language.
WingHUD no longer leaves an extra taskbar button after you open it from the Hub.
Last Scene answers more reliably when the AI service has a hiccup.
Security & privacy
Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the open beta - WingHUD asks you to agree once after updating.
4.1.0 - Screenshot memory and a voice allowance
New
WingHUD now remembers what your screenshots showed. Ask a follow-up a few minutes later - even by voice with the overlay closed - and it still knows what was on screen.
The beta allowance is now two: chat and voice. If you use up the voice part, WingHUD keeps answering in text instead of stopping - it tells you once, and the Hub shows a bar for each. Chat has a daily and a weekly part; voice is daily.
New players get double the allowance for their first week.
Hero names are recognized better when you ask by voice in a Dota 2 chat, with push-to-talk and with Hey Wingman.
The Voice Friendly Replies switch has an (i) that explains what it does.
Fixed
Asking where a widget is now gets a straight answer: the key that opens WingHUD, the widgets pane on the right, and Return widgets if one has gone missing.
When you correct WingHUD - “remove Phoenix from my pool”, “I don’t want Arc Warden” - it remembers the correction instead of the old fact, and the Dota 2 widget stops suggesting heroes you said you don’t want.
Mid-match questions about your own hero, like “why did I die?”, now use your hero’s build and matchups too.
If you describe how WingHUD works and it’s not quite right, WingHUD now corrects you instead of agreeing.
4.0.3 - Faster chat typing
Fixed
Typing in the chat no longer lags or shows your letters in bursts, including during and after a Dota 2 match.
The overlay no longer keeps redrawing in the background during a Dota 2 draft, so it uses less CPU and GPU while you play.
While Hey Wingman listens for the wake word, the mic icon stays at full brightness instead of dimming, so it no longer looks switched off.
4.0.2 - Friends & party setup
New
Setup now has a Friends & party page: pick your display name, avatar, push-to-talk key and party microphone and speakers. If you already use WingHUD, it opens once after you update.
Fixed
Signing out or closing WingHUD now shows you offline to friends right away, even when the connection hiccups for a moment.
4.0.1 - Friends & party
New
Friends & party: add friends with a friend code or an invite link, start a party, and talk by voice and text with up to five friends on top of whatever each of you is playing.
Party voice with Open mic or push to talk (Ctrl+K). Mute yourself, one person, or the whole party for you. Party voice is never recorded.
Party chat with emoji and pictures: share up to 10 screenshots or area captures, or a Last Scene clip, in one message. Nothing is sent until you press Send.
The wingman is in the room: anyone can ask with @wingman or out loud (“Hey Wingman” works too), and everyone gets the answer, labelled with who asked and whose match it used. Spoken answers play in the party, and anyone can stop them for themselves.
Invite links (winghud.com/p/…) open WingHUD and drop you straight into the party, even when WingHUD is closed. Party invites pop up over the game and wait in Friends for 10 minutes.
Invite to WingHUD: send a friend a closed-beta invite by email from the Friends widget. When they sign up, your friend request is waiting for them.
Send to party: post any wingman answer from a game chat into your party as a card.
Widgets answer in their own game’s chat: click the Dota 2 widget from another chat and WingHUD switches to the Dota 2 chat first, with a strip to go back.
Dota 2: tell WingHUD your position once (“I’m pos 3”) and it remembers it for the rest of that match; heroes from your screenshots count for the match too. In Dota 2 chats, WingHUD suggests the Dota 2 widget when it would help.
Set your status - Online, Away, Invisible or Offline - and add an avatar picture that friends and your party see. WingHUD shows you as Away after 10 minutes without input, never while a game is in front.
Hear any wingman answer or shared reply: just for you, or for the whole party’s voice room. Shared replies now show in full.
Party voice starts when a friend joins and pauses when the party goes quiet - press to talk, just talk, or post to bring it back.
Your beta allowance resets at midnight your time (Monday midnight for the week).
Dota 2: screenshots and area captures of the draft, the top bar and the post-game screens now name the heroes exactly.
Dota 2: Steam sync now picks up older matches after a break, so the widget’s count goes to zero.
Better answers when you chat in Russian and other languages.
A short line at the top of the chat tells you what’s new.
Fixed
WingHUD now opens right away even when your antivirus or firewall is blocking it, tells you what’s wrong, and keeps trying until it can connect. If it fails while starting, it saves a short report and sends it the next time it opens.
After “Hey Wingman” you can pause before asking - WingHUD now waits for your question instead of missing it.
After a failed reply, the next question gets a fresh answer instead of picking up the failed one.
Dota 2: the death count after respawning matches the scoreboard.
Registering with an email that isn’t on the beta invite list now tells you so, instead of showing a database error.
The Hub’s closed beta label shows the current version.
Security & privacy
The Privacy Policy and Terms now cover Friends & party, party pictures and friend invites; you’ll be asked to accept them once.
3.2.3 - Six Dota 2 pick suggestions and buyback-aware item advice
New
The Dota 2 widget now suggests six heroes: three counter picks plus up to three of your own heroes with Personalize on, or six counter picks with it off.
Bans and the matchup numbers from the Dota 2 widget now carry into your chat, so a follow-up question about the draft keeps them in mind. Hero nicknames like PA, QoP or LC work there too.
Dota 2 skill and talent builds now follow the current hero kit.
Dota 2 item advice now only saves gold for buyback from 30 minutes on; before that, it tells you to spend your gold on items.
Fixed
If something goes wrong over and over, WingHUD now reports it once instead of every time, so a single glitch can no longer slow your PC or the service down.
3.2.2 - Settings help that knows your PC
New
Hardware Advisor now remembers your PC: after one scan, every answer about settings and performance fits your hardware, in any game and by voice too. The widget’s button becomes In-game settings help - click it and ask for what you’re after, like max FPS or the best-looking picture.
If you change a part, or your scan is more than three months old, the Hardware Advisor widget says so and offers a re-scan. Re-scan or delete your hardware profile any time in Settings → Data & privacy → Hardware profile.
Settings → Widgets now shows the Dota 2 and World of Warcraft cards only for games you have. “Show widgets for other games” brings the rest back.
Fixed
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is now recognized as itself, and games no longer flicker in and out of detection while they launch.
Security & privacy
Your hardware summary is saved with your account until you delete it in Settings → Data & privacy → Hardware profile.
The app now sends one anonymous install record the first time it starts, so we can see whether installs succeed. Both are described in the Privacy Policy, and WingHUD asks you to agree to the updated policy once.
3.2.1 - Share a reply, and several screenshots at once
New
Share a reply: click the link icon under an answer to get a public link you can paste into Discord or send to a friend. Your name isn’t shown, and you can remove the link any time from the Share window or from Settings → Data & privacy → Shared links.
With Auto-Send off, you can now take up to 10 screenshots or area captures and send them together in one message. Click a thumbnail to see it full size, or remove it with its ✕.
Copying a whole reply now adds a short “answered by WingHUD” line at the end, and the copy buttons have a new icon.
The mic widget’s Open Mic switch is now called “Hey Wingman Wake”.
Fixed
Copying part of a reply now pastes as plain text, without the chat’s colours.
If your connection hiccups while a question, screenshot or voice message is being sent, WingHUD now quietly tries once more instead of showing an error.
When an update comes out while WingHUD is running, it now waits and asks the next time you open the overlay, instead of opening behind your game.
Games with a colon in their name (like PUBG: Battlegrounds or World of Warcraft: Forever) no longer show up twice above the chat, and their older chats open with the game’s context again.
The Dota 2 widget now reads heroes and roles on ultrawide, 16:10 and lower-resolution screens, reads your own role more reliably, and spots banned heroes much more reliably.
Security & privacy
Our Privacy Policy now covers shared replies: what a shared page shows, who can see it, and how to remove it. WingHUD asks you to agree to the updated policy once.
3.2.0 - “Hey Wingman”, a voice indicator and a faster Dota 2 widget
New
Open Mic now waits for you to say “Hey Wingman” before it listens to anything, so it no longer picks up the game or your party chat. Nothing leaves your PC until you say it. Holding the mic key is always push-to-talk, even with Open Mic on.
When you ask by voice with the overlay closed, a small indicator at the top of your screen shows whether WingHUD is listening, thinking or speaking, with a Stop button. Drag it anywhere; it remembers the spot.
WingHUD no longer guesses which language you’re using: English (US) is now the default. If you write or speak another language, choose it in Settings → Voice & audio → Reply language, and WingHUD will answer and listen in it.
The WoW widget and Companion addon now work in World of Warcraft: Forever too. WingHUD keeps your Forever characters separate from your retail ones.
The Dota 2 widget reads your draft and the in-game hero bar faster - its advice arrives a second or two sooner.
The Dota 2 widget’s label now says what a click will do: Suggest a Pick, Odds & Remaining Picks, Draft Read & My Odds, or My Odds & Game Plan.
After you pick, the Dota 2 widget gives a draft read with your team’s chance to win and the matchups that decide it.
A question about one game in General chat now gets that game’s knowledge too, and for Dota 2 your own profile.
Fixed
Clear memory now makes WingHUD forget everything it learned about you, including the notes it kept on your PC, not only the ones on our servers.
Docking the mic widget no longer shrinks it until you fold and unfold it.
The Dota 2 widget no longer suggests a hero banned earlier in the match when part of the hero grid was hidden on a later click.
The Dota 2 widget is greyed out while a match loads (“Waiting for players”, “Loading…”) instead of trying to read the loading screen.
Security & privacy
The Dota 2 widget now recognizes heroes itself, without an outside image-recognition service.
Our servers now check your sign-in more strictly on every chat and voice request.
3.1.0 - New voices and smarter Dota 2 draft picks
New
New voices for spoken replies, and they start talking sooner. Every reply language now has its own voices, male and female, with the widest choice in English, and WingHUD remembers your pick for each language. The speed slider now changes the pace more gently, so replies sound natural at both ends.
If your chosen voice can’t be reached for a moment, a backup voice reads the reply instead of staying silent, with a short note in the chat. It switches back on its own.
The Dota 2 Picks Assistant now builds its suggestions around counters: it checks every hero against the heroes already in the draft - who beats the enemy picks, who pairs well with your team - using this patch’s public match data, instead of leaning on this week’s popular heroes.
Pick suggestions now come in two groups: three counter picks, and two of your own heroes for that role that suit this draft. If none of your usual heroes fit, it tells you why and gives you another counter pick instead.
Once you’ve picked, the Picks Assistant also suggests heroes for teammates who still need to pick.
The reasons behind each suggestion are more accurate: the Picks Assistant now knows every hero’s details for this patch - melee or ranged, its ultimate, damage type and core items.
Turbo and unranked drafts, which don’t show roles, now get real pick suggestions too - across every role, with the role each hero plays.
Fixed
If your hero grid uses a custom sort (by role, or your own layout), the Picks Assistant no longer names the wrong heroes as banned - it skips the ban check for that layout instead of guessing.
Ban detection no longer misses bans when a hero’s info card covers part of the hero grid.
Draft advice for a new match is no longer influenced by picks from your previous match in the same chat.
Fixed an error window that could appear after a Dota 2 widget reply when another program briefly had your chat file open.
If something unexpected goes wrong, WingHUD now shows a short “Oops, something went wrong” message and keeps running, instead of a technical error window. The problem is reported to us automatically.
Security & privacy
Spoken replies now come from a new voice provider. The Privacy Policy has been updated to name it, so you’ll be asked to re-accept it once.
The temporary Dota 2 ban-detection diagnostic now only sends a screenshot when WingHUD captured the Dota 2 window itself; otherwise it sends only what the detector read.
3.0.5 - Dota 2 draft advice: reliable ban detection + live match info
Fixed
The Dota 2 Picks Assistant now reliably reads which heroes are banned, including late in the draft and while you’re hovering a hero - so it no longer suggests heroes you can’t pick, or ones someone already took.
The Dota 2 widget now always takes your live match info from the game into account - the current phase, and once the match starts your hero, gold and items - including while you’re drafting.
3.0.4 - Improving Dota 2 hero-ban detection
Security & privacy
We’re chasing a bug where WingHUD sometimes misses which heroes are banned in a Dota 2 draft. To find the cause, during the closed beta WingHUD may capture your Dota 2 draft screen - only the Dota 2 game screen, and only during the pick/ban phase - and send it to our own servers (EU) together with what the detector saw. Nothing else on your PC is captured, it’s tied to your account, and it’s deleted when you delete your account. The Privacy Policy has been updated to describe this, so you’ll be asked to re-accept it once. We’ll switch it off once we’ve gathered enough.
3.0.3 - Dota 2 Steam sync now works for everyone
Fixed
Dota 2 Steam sync now works on every account, not just Dota Plus subscribers - if you connected Steam but nothing synced (or it wrongly showed “up to date”), it now pulls your recent matches correctly.
Steam sync now covers your last 100 games no matter when you played them - the old 90-day window is gone, so returning players get their history back too.
The Dota 2 widget’s “matches to sync” count is more reliable and no longer gets stuck on a stale number.
New
The Dota 2 widget now warns you (in orange) when you’re playing a different Steam account than the one you synced, and shows the synced account’s name once Dota 2 is closed - so it’s always clear which account your stats come from.
The system-tray menu is now dark to match the rest of the app and opens upward from the tray icon, the way a Windows tray menu should.
3.0.2 - Faster, more natural voice replies
New
Voice replies start speaking as soon as the answer begins, instead of waiting for the whole reply - spoken answers feel much faster.
Spoken replies read more naturally - WingHUD no longer reads web links or “source” lines aloud, and works sources into the sentence instead.
Update screen - added an “Or download the latest client directly from here” link, so if an in-app update ever doesn’t finish you can grab the latest installer straight from your browser.
3.0.1 - Widget dock & history tweaks, Dota 2 draft help
New
Collapsible widget dock - the dock beside the chat now folds down to a slim icon rail to give you back screen space, and a chevron expands it again.
Resizable chat history - drag the history sidebar’s edge to set its width; drag it narrow enough and it folds away on its own.
Maximize in window mode - the window title bar now has a maximize button that fills the monitor it’s on, and restores back to your previous size.
Dota 2 - once you’ve connected Steam, the draft chat offers “What’s my best role?” and “What should I play to climb MMR?”, answered from your own per-role stats.
Dota 2 drafts - WingHUD now reads the banned heroes on the pick screen and won’t recommend heroes that are banned or already taken.
Fixed
Dota 2 Steam sync - the widget’s “matches to sync” count now stays in step with the actual sync, instead of getting stuck showing a match it could never clear.
The Steam Sync window now matches WingHUD’s current look.
3.0.0 - Meet the Hub: a new home, guided setup & a redesigned Settings
New
The Hub - WingHUD now opens into a proper home window where you sign in, see your games, run setup and open Settings, separate from the in-game overlay. Press Ctrl+Tab (or click the tray icon) to bring the overlay up over any game; closing the Hub simply tucks WingHUD back into the tray.
Guided setup - the first time you sign in, a short wizard walks you through your games, hotkeys, and microphone & voice (plus Dota 2 if you play it). You can rerun it any time from the Hub.
Redesigned Settings - one Settings page with clear categories (Account, General, Games, Widgets, Hotkeys, Voice & audio, Appearance, Chat, Data & privacy, About), and every change applies the moment you make it - no more Save or Cancel.
Your games - pin the games you play and each gets its own chat, ready before you even launch it, shown in a game bar above the chat and in your history. A game WingHUD detects you playing pins itself automatically.
Window mode - pop the overlay out into a normal, movable window (handy on a second monitor); your hotkey and the tray icon minimize and restore it.
Widget dock - keep your widgets tidy in a dock beside the chat, or drag any of them out to float freely; “Return widgets” gathers the floaters back in.
Live transparency - two sliders in Settings ’ Appearance adjust the overlay and widget transparency while you watch.
Data & privacy controls - clear what WingHUD has learned about you, disconnect Steam, request a copy of your data, or delete your account, all from Settings.
A reliable first run - the overlay, tray icon and hotkeys are always ready right after you sign in, however you signed in.
2.22.0 - Installed-games awareness & a live “Game context” button for Dota 2
New
Installed-games awareness - WingHUD now recognizes which games you have installed (across Steam, Epic, GOG, Battle.net, Riot, EA, Ubisoft and Xbox) so it can give better help in a fresh chat, answer “what should I play?”, and let the Hardware Advisor talk about the games you actually own. It’s a quick scan on your own PC - you can turn it off in Settings ’ General.
Dota 2 “See Game Context” button - while you’re in a match, the Dota 2 widget now shows a button that tells you exactly what WingHUD can currently see (your hero, items, gold, KDA and the draft), with a little dot showing how fresh the live feed is. After the match it becomes “Post Game Context”. One click, no guessing what it knows.
Fixed
Sharper Dota 2 answers - chat now pulls matchup data for the heroes actually in your game (and understands common hero misspellings like “sladar”), on a leaner prompt that leaves more room for what matters.
Clearer sign-up - after you register, a dedicated screen now tells you to check your email and confirm before signing in.
Security & privacy
Updated Privacy Policy - the installed-games list is now described in the Privacy Policy; you’ll be asked to re-accept the updated terms once.
Starter prompts - a fresh chat now shows quick chips to get going: what WingHUD can do, how to send a screenshot, how to change hotkeys, and whether it’s safe with anti-cheat. World of Warcraft gets its own set (a Companion explainer, spec-rotation basics, and current PvE/PvP tier lists).
Copyable command blocks - when a reply includes something you need to type or paste exactly (a macro, a slash or console command, a launch option, a file path), it now appears in its own block with a one-click Copy button, so you copy just that instead of the whole message.
Voice playback speed - a new Playback speed slider in the Voice section of Settings lets you speed up or slow down replies that are read aloud.
Stop button - cancel a reply while it’s still being written.
Dota 2: ask about your own profile, rank or stats and, if you haven’t connected Steam yet, your Wingman now points you to “Sync with Steam” (and reminds you to do it with Dota 2 closed).
Faster replies - answers now start appearing noticeably sooner.
Fixed
Hotkey combinations can be set again - shortcuts that include Ctrl, Shift, or Alt (like Ctrl+Tab) no longer drop the modifier when you record them.
Hotkeys now show the real key - for example the ` key above Tab - in Settings, on the widgets, and whenever your Wingman mentions one, instead of an internal name like “Oem3”.
Ask your Wingman how to open or minimize the overlay (or where the chat went) and it now answers with your actual hotkey - handy if you ever end up seeing only the mic and can’t find the chat.
Holding a widget’s hotkey (or clicking it very fast) no longer fires a burst of duplicate requests.
The Settings window now opens centered on your main monitor.
The Hardware Advisor widget (renamed from “PC Analyzer”) no longer has its title overlap its buttons.
Security & privacy
Tightened internal database access permissions.
2.20.1 - Updates that reach you even before sign-in
Fixed
The update check now runs before you sign in, so an out-of-date app can update itself even if there’s ever a problem on the sign-in screen.
The sign-in screen now shows your app version at the bottom - handy when reporting an issue.
2.20.0 - PC Analyzer & one-click layout reset
New
PC Analyzer widget - scan your PC’s hardware and peripherals for a plain-English read on performance, likely bottlenecks, and whether a specific game will run well on your rig.
Reset layout - a new button in the chat header instantly puts every widget back to its default position, handy if things get messy or a widget ends up off-screen. New installs also start from a tidier default arrangement.
